Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in the pursuit of living out our faith together with boldness and passion.

  • The Trinity

We believe, teach, and confess the Trinity: God is one and God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That’s where we get our awesome name!

  • Jesus

We love Jesus and we don’t care who knows. We believe Jesus is our only real hope in this life and the next (John 14:6). We believe the best way to know the heart of God is to know Jesus by learning from his teachings and following in his ways. And with the amazing news that Jesus death and resurrection means new life for us both now and later, we love sharing this Good News with others!

  • The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the sole authority of our faith. The Bible is a library of testimonies that together help us to have faith in God’s ultimate plan to redeem humanity through Jesus Christ.

  • Theological Heritage

Trinity has an over 100 year history as a Lutheran church. But know that even if you were not raised Lutheran (or even if you don’t know what a Lutheran is) you are welcome and wanted at Trinity! Our goal is not necessarily to make everyone little Lutherans but to help everyone grow in their Christian faith and follow Jesus the best way they know how.

That said, Lutheran theology is the lens through which we preach and teach. We are grounded by our tradition which at its core confesses that we are “saved by grace through faith” (Ephesians 2:8) and that “we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law” (Romans 3:28). We confess the Apostle’s and Nicene Creed and believe that Luther’s writings are helpful tools for teaching our faith and interpreting the Bible.

  • Evangelism

Lost people matter to God and so they matter to us (Luke 15:1-32).  We know what a difference Jesus can make in the lives of people who are struggling so we aren’t shy about sharing our faith. We are a church not just for people for who have always gone to church, but for those that may have never set foot in a church and for those that have walked away from church before.

New to our Church?

Common Questions

We know visiting a new church can be awkward and maybe even a little uncomfortable if you don’t know what you’re getting into. Here are a few common questions sometimes people want to know before diving in.

We cannot wait to meet you!

  • Am I welcome to take communion?

Yes, all who believe are welcome to Christ’s table at Trinity no matter what you’ve done, no matter what has been done to you, and no matter what faith tradition you were raised in. Kids are welcome to take communion either when their parents feel they are ready or after they take our 1st Communion Course designed for 5th and 6th graders.

  • What about baptism?

At Trinity Church, we baptize all ages - infants through adults - and with any amount of water.

Ready to learn more about baptism? Attend one of our quarterly 45-minute Baptism Basics sessions. Here you will discover what baptism is, why we celebrate it in worship, the promises made in baptism, and your next steps.

This session includes a meal and time for fellowship with others who are curious about the sacrament of baptism, too.

RSVP to attend an upcoming session.

  • Is there anything for kids during worship?

Trinity Kids is more than Sunday school! It is all the things we love about big church, but made appropriate for preschool through grade school. On Sunday mornings your child will have a blast making new friends while learning about Jesus through worship, games, and activities.

Our nursery is part of Trinity Kids, as well. It is available beginning at 3 months of age.

When you arrive, use our Secure Check-In located in the Commons. Trinity Kid's volunteers will be available to greet your family and assist you. Just look for any volunteer wearing a Trinity Kids lanyard!

  • How do I grow my faith as an adult?

We encourage followers of Jesus to be in a Connection Group. In these small groups, we dig into God’s word, ask hard questions, and care well for one another. Basically it is where God teaches us who He is, who we are, and how He calls us to live in the world so that others may come to know Him, too.

  • Want to know more?

Attending our 45-minute Connection Course will help you get to know who we are and how we love Jesus. This is a great opportunity to have some time with our pastors and get to know others exploring Trinity, too.

A delicious meal is included, too.

We look forward to sharing about Trinity Church with you!
