Forty-five families gathered in 1908 to form a new church in the German Nebraska Synod which was called Evangelical Lutheran Friedens Church. In 1948, Friedens Church was renamed Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Our church family broke ground for our Halleck Street site in 1958 with the dedication of Trinity Lutheran Church in 1960. In 1968 we broke ground for the Educational Wing on the Halleck Street property and the Narthex, Fellowship Hall and kitchen were the final phase of construction, connecting our two buildings together.

In the 1990's a vision was cast for Trinity that included a worship center, housing for seniors and a center for wellness. God provided the opportunity and we purchased the Peaceful Valley site in 1997, partnering with Immanuel Health Systems to fulfill this vision. Trinity broke ground for our Family Life Center in 1998, with the dedication the following year. Immanuel Trinity Village opened their doors to residents in 2000.

In 2002 we opened Little Lights Pre-school to provide a Christian learning environment for children. To impact families on the other side of the globe, Trinity has also partnered with Shalom Ministries in India, providing care to widows and orphans for God’s glory.

We celebrated 100 years as a congregation in 2008. God has richly blessed us. We look forward to all that God has planned in our future.
